he paintings on display are a collection of figurative studies, a continuation of three decades of exploration of the relationship of human spirit to the surroundings in which it finds itself.

Decorative images hese locations, sometimes common, sometimes absurd, while setting the figure and painting in the artists flow begun in classical temple art and carried through in European painting, also pose questions specific to our generation- such as who would man be if environmental progression or DNA were slightly altered, and what is self determination and the soul if surroundings are so powerful a force?

Design Image ome of the more recent works contain images of centaurs, a mythical creature part man and a part more closely related to the earth, or angles, a mystical being a few steps ahead of us in spiritual evolution.
Both these forms appear in the paintings in familiar human habitats.. a farm,a beach , a meadow..nearby. They seem almost waiting for our acknowledgement. Perhaps to guide if we were to ask.
